This excursion will enable us to discover the southern part of Malta. On our way to Wied iz-Zurrieq we pass through the village of Birzebbugia before arriving at the Blue Grotto. A short boat trip (at an extra cost) will enable the group to view at close range the underwater flora in these Grottoes. We then proceed to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where one can admire the waterfront lined with the colourful Maltese “luzzu“ painted in the traditonal reds, blue and yellows. After lunch we visit Tarxien Temples – a group of three Temples that due to their very good state of preservation, provide us with evidence of the skill and artistic abilities of our forefather. This last stop of our tour will be at Ghar Dalam Caves – one of the first habitats of these islands.
